Tips for translators

This Tips for Translators page started after I had spent a few years working as a freelance translator and thought it might be useful to some translators, especially those who are just beginning their freelance careers, to read about some of my experiences and what I have found useful. It can be very difficult to get advice or opinions when starting out in the translation business – I know, I was there once, which is why I didn’t mind taking time to share my experience in the hope it would help whoever wanted to listen… I know I would have liked some of this information when I started! Of course, everything on this page reflects just my own personal opinions.

Translation Journal

Translation Journal recopila, mensualmente, numerosos artículos relacionados con la traducción y con la actividad profesional del traductor.

De hecho, el motto de TJ es: A Publication for Translators by Translators about Translators and Translation y se define como The Translation Journal is the prime Web resource for professional translators and interpreters. It has been published regularly, without interruption on a quarterly basis since July 1997.

En Translation Journal encontramos, por tanto, artículos, la gran mayoría en inglés, publicados por traductores de diferentes partes del mundo, por citar algunos países: Irán, Brasil, Estados Unidos…, y con diversas combinaciones lingüísticas (que incluyen lenguas como inglés, alemán, ruso, español…).
